We stopped by here whilst on a road trip. From the outside, I did not have high hopes. But inside, it was a different story!
The copper bar was nice, but the food was great! It was also super cheap- many lunch menu items hovered around the $5-$7 mark.
At our table we tried the steak Mexicana (essentially fajitas, with sauteed onions, jalapenos, and tomatoes), the sopes (kind of an extra thick, open faced tortilla, topped with chicken, cotija cheese, and other tasty things) which were super fresh and nicely presented, and the huevos rancheros, with a side of guacamole, which was also really well received.
This place strikes me as a cut above the stereotypical Mexican restaurant, with fresh ingredients and nice presentation. A gem, especially for the area- there didn't seem to be many options around (a nearby bbq place was closed, I guess for the day after Christmas?), but this was a good one.
It was so tasty that we may hit it on the way back. If we do, I'm getting those sopes! -

This place is about as good as it gets for the area. They have nice bar area and the food is pretty good. By no means is Habaneros a mazatlan. The food is not hot plate hot plate. The tacos are good. I typically get the steak tacos with rice and beans. I have also gotten the steak torta which was good as well. The only other entree I have gotten is the enchiladas Verdes though it may not be named that exactly. This place has a nice environment and I have always been pleased with the service and food. It's a shame it was set on fire by some low life. I really wish them the best and hope they open back up soon.

Our family loves this place. We go almost weekly. The food is really good and the service is phenomenal. We especially love Victor. He is a terrific waiter. They make their chrorizo in house and it is really tasty.

We stopped off on our way back to Charlotte. The server took our order fast, within a few minutes and brought us chips and salsa, which were great. However, after 45 minutes our food had still not arrived. I should add that I was traveling with 2 small children who were hungry and getting cranky. I asked our server how long our order would be and she just wandered off to the other side of the restaurant. She then came back with water and looked surprised when I asked about our order again like she forgot!? She went off to the kitchen and came back and said she wasn't sure how long the food would be. At that point, I told her to cancel the whole order and we would just pay for the chips and drinks.
This is probably one of the worst services I have had and no-one apologized or seemed to even care. Don't go here!!! -

If I could give this place zero stars, I would in a heartbeat. The food is nasty and the service was lousy. Better food at the Burger King next door.
